Describe your issue

Hello,

Thanks for this awesome software!

I was on UniGetUI 3.1.8 (installed originally through scoop) and it showed a notification that 3.2.0 was available. It also showed the new version available in the Available Updates panel. I first clicked the Update button, and it downloaded an installer and started to install the update that way. I canceled that and tried to update it through its own update mechanism (which called scoop update unigetui) but of course it was running so the update failed.

I think this is exactly what was reported in #2149 and fixed in 3.1.2, and the update of the scoop bucket to 3.1.2 was on October 30th 2024. So it may have been fixed but has since been broken again?

It's not a huge deal to quit UniGetUI, run scoop update unigetui and restart it, but it would just be a better experience if it could update itself through scoop the "right way" / the same way as other apps.

Thanks in advance,

J-S

Steps to reproduce the issue

With UniGetUI installed through scoop, when the update notification appears at the top of the window, click Update. You will see it will not use scoop to update itself, but will try to install with an installer to a different location.

With UniGetUI installed through scoop, when a new version is available in the Available Updates panel, try to update it. It will try to update through scoop, but the update will fail because the program is running.

UniGetUI Log

I think the relevant logs are gone since I closed UniGetUI to update it. At least I did not find a location for a log file that would have the log of a previous run of the program.
