Pressing <C-w> and j/k in quick succession does not perform any action

Open r1bilski opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Problem

If I press <C-w> and j/k in quick succession, sometimes the j/k will not be registered, but <C-w> will disappear from the status line as if the input was processed.

Steps to reproduce

Press <C-w> j fast enough. You will see <C-w> appear for a moment on the status line.

vis version (vis -v)

Hi! I am able to recreate this but its very difficult for me. Are you able to consistently get such behavior? It is most likely due to termkey. You can try lowering the escdelay option and see if improves the situation.

Hey, thanks for the answer.

Yes, I can get this consistently, to the point where it often happens multiple times in a row until I consciously try entering <C-w> + direction a little bit slower. I tried changing escdelay and it seems like it has no affect on this at all. Setting it to values between ranging from 1 to 10000 results in exactly the same behavior as far as I can tell.
