Custom Linuxcnc firmware.

Howdy.

This board might just be the thing I've been looking for. My plan would be to use these boards as slaves to control different actuators over canbus. I would have a endstop, rotary encoder and stepper motor on these boards and I was wondering If I could program my own firmware onto these. I'd need the pin outs and such to accomplish this but other than that I think I could manage it.

Can these be programmed to do such a thing?
