munchkin.js appears to be stealing CPU
From @sammefford:
Twice today this page: https://docs.marklogic.com/guide/java/document-operations#id_75882 gave me an error something like "the following script won't stop" when I closed Firefox for being too slow: Script: https://munchkin.marketo.net/151/munchkin.js:6 I wonder if somehow that script is contributing to firefox slowness on my machine. I'm not sure who develops the code behind docs.marklogic.com. Can you help direct this to the right individual?
@sammefford filed this in Bugtrack but I moved it here. My guess is this was just a bug in marketo on that particular day, but I thought I would put it here to track.
I have a console.log file constantly created on my C drive root and my D drive root, both drives are accessed by Firefox. Other drives do not contain this file.
console.log is filled with this. Just repeated.
Message: Munchkin.init("%s") options: Source: http://munchkin.marketo.net/158/munchkin.js Line: 22
Is this Firefox's doing?
The creators and users of munchkin.js are scum.
Thanks
I have not worked on this project for 4 years, but I believe this is a Marketo file to call out to their service. I recommend contacting someone at MarkLogic for help, or just comment out the parts where this file is called (I found 2 places, in template.xhtml and process-license-request.xqy).
