Improve slug lengths
I am not sure if this is what you have in mind for slug-control so feel free to close, but thought this may be a decent place to have a chat about it.
A problem I see with post slugs is they can be insanely long, which is generally considered bad practice (from a UX POV and SEO).
Yoast and others have written about it, that slugs should only be a few words.
Something to consider, or does this risk trying to be too clever and end up ruining slugs.
Thoughts?
I think this is the point at which a human brain should be brought into the loop. We can count words (basically just count the dashes) and if it’s past a threshold, we can hijack publishing/scheduling and make the user review the slug.
