Phonegap app restarts after calling fileopener

I am using fileopener plugin with cordova 2.5 and Android 2.3. i manage to open a local file with success, however when going back to the phonegap app, it restarts (same issue with the camera plugin which to my best knowledge has only been pursued via the foreground camera plugin). Thanks for any help.
