Starting period or date / setting dark mode

Hi, I think I found a wonderful tool for making timelines! The syntax is so simple that I want to use it with my students (I teach history).

I use the cli for making html timeline for uploading in my moodle.

Two requests:

1. is it possible in the header to set the starting date of the period in question? It always start from "now" but is annoying for students to press "Center" button (two times: the first one go near the period, the second one center effectively the start of the timeline). I know that is not a big effort, but I want they can immediately see the timeline. It is an educational point of view.
2. Always in the header is it possibile to set dark mode to default?

Please, don't say that markwhen is not focused on history, it would be a very pity!
