GD Item Assistant causes crash when creating multiplayer game

Grim dawn crashes and becomes unresponsive.

Which version of IA? Are you both running the same version? Which version of GD? Are you doing anything specific when it crashes?

For some unknown reason, while LAN multiplayer rooms could be created, the game Grim Dawn would freeze when attempting to create an online multiplayer room.

The Grim Dawn version was 1.2.1.0, and the GD IA version was the latest.

Suspecting it might be a stash save issue, I opened the save file with GD Stash, resaved it, and then launched the game. The game now functions normally.

It seems the issue can be closed!
