On mobile: only one open dropdown at a time
Hello again Mario, I know it must be annoying to deal with support and questions, but my js is severely limited (I am just a designer).
Is there a quick and awesome way to only have — on mobile — one dropdown open at a time? i.e. if I tap one dropdown, open it. If I tap another dropdown, open it and close the previous one?
Thank you in advance.
Hello Matei. Similar issue was allready opened, and as I said im doing a rewrite of this script which will include behavior you are looking for. You can take a look at new version in "v2" branch : https://github.com/marioloncarek/megamenu-js/tree/v2 Plese note its still in development and not to be used in production. Thanks
Thank you so much for answering. And do you have an ETA for v2? Any info would be appreciated.
ETA: i would be very happy if i finish this in like month...
Look you could use it even now it should work very well ist just that i did not test in anywhere yet (like wordpress etc) . You just need to put some animations: So right now there is .show() and .hide() for displaying submenu you just need to replace that with fadeIn and fadeOut or any other animation from: https://api.jquery.com/category/effects/ . Also some animations in mobile menu are not done yet (its done without any for now). But as I said i did not run any tests over the script so if there is a bug in production dont blame me (but i will help you) :)
Thank you so much. I know support is a hassle and I want you to know I really appreciate everything you did for me. If you ever need pro bono design work, let me know. Here's my portfolio. (it's three zips, I know, but I am learning how to code so I can make the online version instead of using a template) I'm a much better designer than coder, for now.
No problem Matei im always glad to help, thank you for your contribution.
Your portfolio is forbidden to download, If you want me to check it out and maybe help you for some work enable it and send it on my email: [email protected]
Oops, .htaccess issue (see, coding is not my forte, for now). Just sent you an e-mail. Thanks!
