Course index when activities and resources not shown

I am using Moodle 4.3. I really like the option to remove activities and resources from the course index, but when this is done, bottom level subsections still have an arrow to open/close the subsection despite there being nothing to see. Is it possible for these redundant arrows to be removed? image
