Ability to hide spaces in number column

Hello. I am creating some library, and i use number column for year of publishing book. It looks like this:

i want option for hiding spaces for column with type 'Number'

Why is this needed?

Number column looks more beautiful without extra spaces

that would be great. Also, if you could add the possibility that it doesn't delete the 0 before the other letters, i.e. 02168 instead of 2168 (so 0 removed). ^^
