[Request] Change the orientation of the background skin

Open EeK9X opened this issue 8 years ago • 4 comments

It would be nice if we could change the orientation of the background skin, and not just its position, so we could snap it to the bottom part of the screen, for example, so it would become a "row" (horizontally oriented), instead of a "column" (vertically oriented) skin.

I'm currently reworking the skin to use Scale instead of Width and with that i'm gonna reposition all modules to have the exact height, text position and stuff.

Here is an example:

This is the baseline on how all skins are gonna built on. After i'm finished with it, it will be much easier to position the skin and also scale it with your monitor/screen.

That's great news! I use the weather and CPU/GPU temperature measurement skins on the bottom left corner, and the clock skin on the bottom right corner. I spent a lot of time trying to adjust their positions so they'd be properly lined up.

I was referring to the background skin itself on my original post, though. You know, the one that looks like a column that you can change the opacity on settings. It would be nice if we could position it as a row (horizontally), for example, especially for those that, like me, are using the other skins on the bottom part of the screen, instead of on the sides.

I could implement that too, that wouldn't be that hard. Gonna look into it
