This approach makes sense to me. @divolgin any opinion or preference on names? I think that `aliases` and `previousNames` both make sense and are clear.
This is due to limitations in K8s, that prevent using `_` in object names. I have the same issue, and work around it by using slightly different Kubernetes object names...
