Explanation of the .msh format

I was wondering if there is any documentation about the file format of the .msh files? I have looked most places, and I have not managed to find any explanation.

That's also my question, is there a simple way to uncompress .msh file to a vector? A sketch of an input file should be an integer vector right? Thanks!

Don't know if this will be helpful, but I had the same question, and found that the most recent version of mash info has an option -d, to dump the sketches (hash values of the min-hashes) into json format.
