Saving sketch for screen

I have used mash dist a lot, with good results. Now I want to use mash screen, and find that here I sketch the genomes, but not the metagenome? It takes quite some time to stream a metagenome, and I need to do this several times (the same metagenome).

Would it not be Nice to also store a "sketch" for the metagenome? I realize this "sketch" would contain ALL hashes, but should it not still be a saving compared to re-computing the hashes each time?
