updateTaxonomy failed

Open murchiet opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

I'm trying to run Krona through Cygwin. The installation went fine, as did ./updateAccessions.sh. But, when trying to run ./updateTaxonomy.sh I get the following error:

$ ./updateTaxonomy.sh
Fetching taxdump.tar.gz (if newer than taxdump.tar.gz)...
   Fetching checksum...
   Checksum for taxdump.tar.gz matches server.
./updateTaxonomy.sh: line 284: make: command not found
Update failed.
   Building taxonomy table failed (see errors above).

Hi @murchiet, I have the same issue. Did you manage to solve it? Thank you, Iulia

I don't think I ever solved this problem directly. It was with the limitations of Cygwin if I recall. I instead just switched from Cygwin to the Ubuntu windows release (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/p/ubuntu/9nblggh4msv6?activetab=pivot:overviewtab) and that solved my issues.
