For players like tiviMate I added the "live" and "new" icon in the tittle of the program.
How do I turn this off or strip it from the output? It is altering the naming of DVR recordings and episodes in Plex

This has become and issue for me as well. @cchiapusio have you ever come up with a solution or workaround? For reasons passing understanding, these tags have never shown for me until yesterday. I run the dnsforge image and plex and it only appeared yesterday and it's messing with my DVR scheduling. I, too, would like the option to strip/exclude/disable the ᴸᶦᵛᵉ or ᴺᵉʷ tags from epg on plex

clone the repo, apply this diff to xmltv.go and build with this command line: env GOOS=linux GARCH=amd64 CGO_ENABLED=0 go build
cp main guide2go put the new bin into your docker or wherever you need it to be
@cchiapusio @winedog i take it there has been no official response as to how to remove this crazy addition of adding "new" and "live" tags?
i have no need for these and would like them removed.
@chenks - yeah, I was able to remove this using the latest guide2go binary and then setting the flag to false for this feature.

However, I walked back that setting as I ended up deciding that Live and New, while somewhat annoying in some cases, actually gave me better and more granular control over my DVR recording configuration so I've adapted to it now.
