Loading map causes other UI elements to vanish on KitKat

Notice after loading basic example then pressing back button the main menu is not visible. The interesting thing is you can still click on items in the menu. If you re-enter an example the only thing displayed is the map (no menus, text, button overlays, etc.)

I can reproduce this on a Galaxy S5 running 4.4.2, which has the same GPU as the Note 3 and therefore the same drivers for a given Android version, so this doesn't rule out a driver bug. However it does mean that this isn't isolated to one specific device, so we may want to find a solution or work-around to whatever is happening.

Just to +1 this, I'm running 4.4.4 on a Nexus 5 and this also happens inside Eraser Map 0.11.0
