Shift SSH to non standard port

We're seeing quite a lot of connection attempts on our new servers, we should disable password-only login, and move sshd to listen to a non-standard port (ie: not 22).

how are you monitoring/logging the connection attempts? (curious for my own needs, not questioning your analysis)

I was just looking at /var/log/syslog, looking for something else, and noticed a ton of failed login attempts. Nothing fancy!
