A reference icon next to the scale
The people that use to map in OSM or similar tools know how to identify a house, and understand the proportion of trees, roads, cars, etc., or even understand what is 100m from upside-down image. But for a person that has never used a satelital image does not know how bit is a house, a car or even a person. And Mapswipe is intended to be use not only by mappers, but normal persons.
I will be great to see an icon/small image next to the scale bar that shows the size of a know-thing at the same scale of the imagery. The size of a person could be a couple of pixels (difficult to understand), but a car could give an idea of things (5 m long) or a normal house or even the width of a 2 normal lanes road (3 m).
Hi @angoca thanks for opening this ticket. I think it's the same suggestion as in #567
It would be cool to have something like this. I'm just not sure how to put something familiar and big enough (what size in a "normal" house?) without cluttering the images. Just an outline? something semi-transparent? If you have examples from other apps/sites, don't hesitate to share. I think this is a harder design question than technical one :) Pinging @jhenshall who might have some ideas.
