Options for Google Places / Autocomplete SDK integration?

I've been searching for a good integration option for Google Places SDK for a while now and simply can't find any. I understand we can use the browser javascript dropdown integration, but it's not pretty and doesn't feel native, it's hard to click, etc.

I found that this was previously discussed: https://github.com/mapsplugin/cordova-plugin-googlemaps/issues/2418

But nothing ever happened. I also found some projects like (iOS only): https://github.com/ushu/cordova-plugin-googleplaces

But they seem abandoned. Is there any other option available?
