grid of circles deprecated below zoom 3

I have a satellite data in geojson format (0.25 degrees) which I am trying to extend its zoom level below 3.

So far I have tried: -r1 -pk -pf -Z1 -pk -pf -Z1 -g2 -Z1 -pk -pf and probably many more..

However, the mbtiles will either upload with the point tiles breaking below zoom level 3 or won't upload as a tile set with the error "Tile exceeds maximum size of 500k at z0..."

What am I doing wrong here? Any tips would be greatly appreciated...

It is hard to say what to do without knowing more about your data, but if you can upload a copy of it, I can take a look and try to give advice.
