mbx_zoomLevel might return the wrong zoom level

mbx_zoomLevel seems to return the wrong zoom level sometimes. This problem occurs for me when I zoom to a level and then zoom just a bit out again and not so far that the next level of tiles get visible.

I can for example get zoom level 9 and 10 returned even though I see the same tiles.
