[Denmark] Reviewing osmlint-osmium and osmlint data issues

Open sonyahilchik opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

Background

As part of on-going work to improve the quality of OpenStreetMap data, we recently used osmlint-osmium and osmlint for detecting issues related to road network data in Denmark. In total, we are going to review issues in 9 categories.

Our plan is to review all detected issues and fix it in OpenStreetMap. There's a link to the OSM Wiki page.

Timeframe

We are going to start review on this week.

Tools

We will use existing OpenStreetMap editing tools, we will use #hashtag for the project #mbx_linters_denmark

Editor: iD or JOSM

Satellite Imagery: Bing, Maxar, Esri

Street Level Imagery: Mapillary, Other open sources if available

Contact Person

We welcome feedback, suggestions, and insights from local mappers. If you have questions about this work, or a specific edit by our team, please reach out to Natallia ([email protected]) or post a comment in a changeset.

We're going to have 2nd iteration in March 2022. Denmark will be reviewed on permanent bases after closing 2nd iteration. Once a week there'll be a upload of data and team will close these issues.

As part of on-going work to improve the quality of OpenStreetMap data, our team is planning to review a subset of the detections to better understand the type of issues, and also fix any valid data issues directly in the OSM.

Issue Data
Crossing Highways DK_crossinghighways.zip
Island Highways DK_islandhighways.zip
Impossible Angle DK_impossibleangles.zip
Impossible Oneways DK_impossibleoneways.zip

I would strongly recommend using SDFE aerial imagery as Satellite Imagery for Denmark.

It is by far the best quality, and most frequently updated.

Another useful resource is https://skraafoto.kortforsyningen.dk/ which provides aerial imagery from different angles.

Kind regards,
