Male Polly Voices for Navigation

Is it possible to switch the Polly voice to a male voice? The AWS docs show that there are male voices for many of the different voices, but so far, I'm only able to select female Polly voices in the NavigationRouteOptions (ie NavigationRoute.builder(mContext).language("en-US").build();)

My app only works in English and I like to give my users as many options in the app as possible. This is definitely not a need and more of a want, but I'd love to have the extra choices.

Hey @billyking991 👋 we choose the voice based on the locale passed as you pointed out. But we currently don't allow the option for male v. female. To my knowledge, this is a limitation of our voice API wrapping Polly. Regardless, a valid feature request! Thanks!

I figured I would request it. I get users asking for all sort of features and one of the things I've been asked is for extra voices and male voices. Thank you for taking it into consideration! Please let me know if you need anything from me.

I was just wondering if there was an update to adding gender to the Android SpeechOptions. I get emails from users and there are lots of nice people who have been asking for male voices. I have added the ability in my apps to use different English accents (UK, US, India, and Australian), but I would love to also be able to be able to also select the gender. Most of the Polly voices have both Male and Female voice options. Do you know when I might have access to the male voices?

The Australian voice is now male. Any idea how to change it back to female? Stale Bot says this issue is stale, but my users would still love to be able to change the gender of the voices.
