Suggestion on auto backup settings

It seems that Mapbox will store quite a lot of data under ./files/.mapbox/ , which may affect other data from auto backup. However, there is no guideline on setting up auto backup in the development guide. It seems that it is better if the development guide can suggest some settings, or at least mention that a developer should review the auto backup settings.
