Suggestions for improved icon display page

I'm often using this page https://www.mapbox.com/maki-icons/ to try to find an appropriate Maki icon for a given use. I assume that's the primary purpose? It could work better:

• only display the -15 icon
• use a solid background, not the chequer pattern
• write the name of the icon, so it's searchable (ie, Ctrl+F, "dog")
• draw the icons a bit bigger.
• consider grouping them?

The chequered pattern is probably the biggest issue for findability, IMHO.

The main purpose of the page is to provide access to the icon editor, which you will find if you scroll down a little. I agree the design could be clearer.
