#96 has been recently merged, which also adds support for gnome 43 retroactively. Download and install the git version of the package, e.g. by running the following in Terminal:

git clone https://github.com/maoschanz/notes-extension-gnome.git
cd notes-extension-gnome
./install.sh

Then log out of your GNOME Session, and log back in again (or reboot), and the "Notes" extension should appear in "GNOME Extensions" GUI App (can also be ran with gnome-extensions-app from Terminal). Enable it and check if it works (and let us know too :) )
