Search Broken
I see that this is no longer developed, but for posterity: search for me broke one month ago about. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling from fdroid.
Search for any word, such as "Edison" and the error is shown "Ups! We messed it up. Try again later, please"
On the libgen website the same search works and brings back many results. My guess is the libgen api (if it has one?) has changed.
I tracked this error string to resultsBuilderGenericErrorMessage, which is thrown in sci_tech_results_builder.dart, but gave up after this. I see that the api is a separate repo and this is all too complex for me to figure out in short amount of time.

Not trying to be mean but if the app is no longer maintained and can't fulfill its one and only function then you might as well archive the repo or at least mention state of the app in the description or something.

...They updated the readme like 2 month before op created this issue.
Also "Not trying to be mean..." is code for I don't want to be nice, so I'm letting you know up front in a passive aggressive way.
