Hangs on 'Start listening for new ScanEvent'

I validate too fast adding a new page and start scanning and node-hp-can-to hangs on:

Ready to download page job page 1 at: /Scan/Jobs/51/Pages/1
Page downloaded to: /tmp/scan-to-pcOCNw7s/scan2_page2.jpg
Job state: Completed, totalPages: 2:
Start listening for new ScanEvent

And after a while, the device started to display an error message about the scan. The program was still hanging, hopefully starting a full new scan job worked.
