Installing multiple fonts at once fails

I’m attempting to install 3 variable fonts: Courier-prime, ia-writer duo, and is-writer Quattro but I get the above error message. There doesn’t seem to be a way to install one at a time to see what the issue is either.

other people have run into this issue before, there seems to be something wrong with the iA Writer fonts that causes this problem. see this thread: https://twitter.com/toph/status/1272328292947853314

not sure what the issue is though, it might be the file format of those fonts. try removing them and you should be able to install the other fonts

@manolosavi Hey! I’ve recently installed an app. Have the same problem though I’m trying to add Space Mono (multiple styles) from fonts.google.com. Any recommendations?

@vladislav12345 i don't have any more ideas unfortunately, my guess is its probably a similar issue to what the iA Writer fonts was…

I'm getting the same error trying to install official Apple SF fonts.

@jaimejenkins I ran into the same issue with SF Pro. (I'm able to install variants of other fonts - just not this one.)

My "workaround" was to install a single version of SF Pro Display and a single version of SF Pro Text (so basically a title and a body font). Not a solution, but a workaround for my case (Figma, where I'm working on mocks with only a couple font styles).

Just wanted to add I’m also running into the same issue installing multiple fonts from Google Fonts.
