error previewing lost+found and root directory

In ranger the preview for lost+found and root just shows not accessible, in cfiles it's breaking the ui. I installed from the aur, only dependencies not installed are poppler, w3m and mediainfo. Update: The issue seems to be with installing from the aur, the git version works perfectly.
