Would like to request an option to have MAME interrogate attached controllers and map them all to Player1 vs. the current behaviour of assuming multiple joysticks should be set up for multiple players.

Use case: I have an XBox Elite 2, another older XBox, my original MAMERoom controller, and now an Atari2600 adapter which I am testing with various types of Atari Joysticks, some OEM some knock-offs etc. It would be nice to forgo crafting ctlr files for these so I could have the three or more attached if I wanted and just move between them as a player 1 control device and also not worry about mapping when disconnecting one or more. Thanks -
