Slideshow Without Fixed Height Causes Collapse until First Image

Dear Community,

I am using this plugin for my responsive slideshow, but onLoad, as there is no fixed height, the slideshow is collapsed, until the first image is loaded. For illustration of the issue faced please see following Codepen.

Now, I was wondering if there is a way to get it stop doing this?
