Theme Settings Not Applying

After browsing issues here on this repo, I still cannot find a way to set Mallit-keyboard as dark mode:

I did put this into my ~/.bashrc export QT_QUICK_CONTROLS_STYLE=org.kde.desktop

Sourced it disabled, reenabled virtual keyboard in KDE restarted my machine

And all to no avail.

It seems to stay in light mode no matter what I do. I have checked my color scheme in KDE Plasma 6, and it is set for a dark theme.

Any suggestions?

If you are on Plasma 6 you will also need to install the Plasma 5 version of the style, as maliit-keyboard only works on Qt5 currently.

Forgive my lack of knowledge on this. How would I go about installing Breeze Dark for Plasma 5, rather any Qt5 theme?
