X-Wayland App Support?

I'm using Maliit as the virtual keyboard for KDE Plasma 5.26 (Wayland) on a Surface Pro 8 using EndeavourOS. I noticed that Maliit doesn't work with X-Wayland applications. Is this a Maliit issue or a KDE Plasma issue?
