plugin removes the id attribute from destination element

maybe it's just me or a special edgecase, but the plugin removes the id attribute on the destination element, as soon as the scrolling begins. i've used this plugin many times without experiencing this behaviour. did anyone else notice this or ran into this situation? maybe someone can point me into the right direction.
