Preference for font sizes?
Would you consider adding a preference to use larger fonts for the counters? Font size can take a %, so you could either let people specify a scale or just pick a couple fixed ones, whatever's easier. (Userscript-knowledgable I am not.) Before the new topbar I was using CSS to make the rep and inbox counters 16pt, in case that helps put my request in context. (I'm not looking for "so big it overflows the topbar" or anything, just bigger than what's there now. I want it to affect inbox count, rep change, flags count, and my rep.)
Do you want something that only affects the user area (reputation, badge labels), or do you want something that affects the drop-down dialogs also (and the "question"/etc. on SO). My assumption is that it would be desirable to have separate font size selections for:
- User text (reputation, badge labels)
- On SO: "Questions", "Jobs", "Tags"
- Per dialog font size
Did I miss anything?
Oh, good catch -- I wasn't even thinking about the text in the drop-down lists, and you're right that that would need to be a different size (smaller than the user text). And SO has those extra items (that I forgot about because I'm not on SO much).
Your list sounds right to me. The last one (the text in the drop-down dialogues) is arguably scope creep, as that didn't change from the old topbar, but if you implement it I'll be grateful.
