Top nav total width jumps if nothing is in "center"
I'm not sure if this is by design or not, but the whole bar appears to change widths on me if I don't have any icon set to "center". This happens on all of the SE sites I've checked (Code Review, Emacs, MSE, and Chinese Language) except SO. I'm on Windows 10, and I get this behavior both in the Firefox (56.0.2) and in Chrome (61.0.3163.100).
I am using the integrated site switcher and have set help to the left and everything else to the right. On SO, it looks like this:
But on MSE it looks like this:
If I move something (Achievements, for example) to the "center", it jumps to full width again:
Thank you for the report. I can easily duplicate the issue with version 1.0.1 of TNC. It has been fixed in the next version.
Given how obvious this is and the fact that I don't normally have anything displayed in the center location, I strongly suspect this is showing up now due to a change in the SE CSS. I find it difficult to believe that I wouldn't have seen it in my normal use of SE. I use a wider than SE-normal window, which would have made it even more obvious. However, it's already been fixed as a result of other changes in the next revision (i.e. I can't duplicate it in the development version).
Great! Thanks for pulling this together, it has definitely improved my SE experience after the new bar came out :D
