Upgrading firmware Problems

Open ntsub opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Hy, I tried to addapt the 2.0.9.3 Marlin Firmware to my specific 3D Printer (direction Y, Z motors,...), but so far i cannot upload the compiled file, (Compilation without problems usisng Visual Studio, platformio and Merlin Maker,, also tried with the two first wuth the same n.OK result ). it gives me a generic #error 2. It seems that the PC does not connect to the MoBo (blue lights on the MoBo-processor are doing repetively the same procedure). USB cable connected on USB 3.0 Port, with a very short USB cable, (provided with the MoBo, and tested in order devices: cable ok). Of course the jumper is correctly switched and ESP32 driver on WIN10 working,

I have also tried intalling firmware.bin in a SD card, but also does not work, (it does not seem to recognize this 1st imput, because the card reader work properly).

@makerbase-mks, (any any gentel spirit), Can you help me?

Connect the board to a powered USB hub, this worked for me. I couldn't communicate with the board using just the USB ports of my mainboard directly.

i'm going to try it, thanks.

Do you know if a powered USB 2.0 would work? (much cheaper than a powered 3.0 :) )

Yes, a powered USB 2.0 hub is what I used.
