[bug]: Custom analytics estimate not updating properly
Is there an existing issue for this?
- [x] I have searched the existing issues
Current behavior
On changing the assignee of an issue, the total estimates shown in "Custom Analytics" does not decrease. Therefore, this results in an inflated total estimate for each assignee.
Steps to reproduce
- Ensure that a positive integer estimate (e.g. 1) is given to an issue.
- Assign a person (e.g. Alice) to the issue.
- Go to "Custom Analytics" and set the "Measure (y-axis)" to be "Estimate", "Dimension (x-axis)" to be "Assignee".
- Note down the total estimates for Alice.
- Remove the Alice as the assignee for the same issue.
- Again, go to "Custom Analytics" and set the "Measure (y-axis)" to be "Estimate", "Dimension (x-axis)" to be "Assignee".
- Notice that the total estimates for Alice does not decrease.

Hi @wilfredtan, thanks for your response.
I tried to reproduce your issue, but we don't have an "Estimate" metric for the y-axis in Custom Analytics. We only have a "Work item count" metric for the y-axis. Are you trying to "group by" "Estimate points" instead? Can you share more details on this, perhaps a screenshot?

Hi @bhavyasaraswat2208, here's the attached screenshot. The Custom Analytics I am using is under the project's "Work Items" page.
P.S. I'd like to add on the fact that this bug also happens to the work item count.
@wilfredtan Thanks for the image reference. We have identified the issue and are working to find a seamless fix for you! :)
@bhavyasaraswat2208 just to double check, is the Custom Analytics found in the main page supposed to contain "Estimate" metric as well? Or is the current behaviour intended?
@wilfredtan This is an intended behaviour, we won't have "Estimate" for the Custom Analytics found under Analytics.
Hey @wilfredtan , we’ve revamped our analytics section in the latest release. Could you please upgrade and let us know if you encounter any issues?
Since we’ve recently revamped our Analytics page, this issue is now outdated. Closing it for now — thanks for the input! 🙌
