[bug]: Issues deleted in other project

Current behavior
Due to the lack of a way to move issues from one project to another, we had copied 118 issues from one project to a new project. We copied them one by one and deleted the old issue after each succesful copy. Everything worked as expected. This was verified, I have an exported CSV showing all the issues in the new project, with their new IDs. The issues in the new project were not linked, they were not sub-issues to any other issue, just standalone issues in a project.
Some hours later I notice that in the new project all the issues are gone and I am certain that they were not manually deleted. Maybe it happened because of a deletion in the old project, I am not sure what triggered it.
Steps to reproduce
I will try to recreate it in test projects. Seems to happen when issues are copied to other projects and then something is deleted in their old project. Is there still a connection between new copied issues and their old originals that may have had a relationship with some other issues?
