Protecting the toggle button with a password.
You've done a great job so far, but why not let us lock the toggle from inactivating the extension with a password we set? It can be set while activating, If I want to inactivate the extensions, I can just click if I set it to that, or I can enter a password if I set it like that. If this is done, it will be more efficient and will control the time wasted on YouTube more.
Hey @ahmdmznaty 👋
Thanks for the kind words and the cool idea!
The tricky part is that anyone can still disable or remove the extension via chrome://extensions, so a password might not really stop someone who wants to bypass it. But I’d love to see examples if you’ve seen other tools do this sort of UX well! 🔍
Thanks again for using the extension!
I don't know if it's found anywhere or not. Still, the concept needs some searching, which is optionally close the toggle button with a password, if I want to close it, I can close it, I know that it's possible to remove the extension entirely, but for me as an example I need to close the toggle button with a password and let my friend or wife set the password, so they can reopen it, but I cannot.
