The title says it - I am receiving an ipv6 adress and not my ipv4 while calling http://ipv4.icanhazip.com/

Cloudflare is still working on correcting this, but no ETA yet.

In the meantime, you can use curl -4 icanhazip.com or curl -6 icanhazip.com.
