Doesn't work with old versions of Pulse

Open shaine opened this issue 8 years ago • 2 comments

Users with old versions of Pulse install the latest psproxy version, which fails to detect their version of Pulse and subsequently tries to modify the wrong setting. Users don't get any feedback conducive to helping them downgrade psproxy or upgrade Pulse.

Options:

  • Update psproxy to support the previous Pulse config name
  • Update psproxy to check for the old version, and provide a warning requesting the user downgrade psproxy to a specific version or upgrade their Pulse version

I guess no one reads documentation. I think it is a good idea to detect the pulse secure version if we can. I no longer have a mac, so I will need a PR.

Heh, yeah. Easiest fix would probably be to just detect the update failure and instruct the user to locate the documentation and read it.
