Why do you want to join the maintainers organization?

Open sourcing a project comes with many problems and unknowns, especially for someone doing it for the first time. The open source guides by GitHub helped me quite a bit. Even more so, what helped me the most was other open source projects. I took a lot of inspiration from many GitHub repositories, all of which is seen in the way I make and present by repositories.

While this does help a lot, interacting with some of the maintainers directly and being a maintainer myself has shown me many different perspectives of looking at open source development. By joining this community, I hope to expand this even further and learn a lot along the way.
