Clarify the meaning of "major" in 0ver

Open vlsi opened this issue 7 months ago • 2 comments

Currently, 0ver specification refers to a "major version", however it does not clarify what does "major version mean":

Your software's major version should never exceed the first and most important number in computing: zero

Do you think you could clarify the spec so it does not refer to undefined terms like "major version"?

"Major version" is the leading component of the version number, as defined by Semantic Versioning.

as defined by Semantic Versioning.

If you refer to "Sematic Versining", then it might overcomplicate 0ver specification.

In any case, the current state, `"major version" is used without a clear definition (see https://0ver.org/ )
