virtiofs support

I would like to bring virtiofs into the discussion, virtiofs is a method to share a file system form the host to a guest (virtual machine), similar in concept to SAMBA.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to look into it to deeply, so I don't know the feasibility of using virtiofs as a root windows file system at this point in time. Though it would be a goal worth pursuing, as this would be a key feature for windows in a visualized settings.

What are the technical challenges to implement this as a feature, or make it infeasible/impossible?

It's an interesting idea. I'm not all that familiar with it myself, but as far as I can see there's no EFI driver and no kernel-mode Windows driver, but both would be interesting projects.
