Stuck at File Copying
windows 8 Pro Build 9200 WinBtrfs 1.8.2
ok so i have a btrfs partition Raid1 filesystem on 2 hard drive 1st hard disk speed is 175 mbps 2nd hard disk speed is 50 mbps
now when i paste file on that partition and when the write speed goes above 50mbps , the copy process get stuck at 99% and i cant close the process , even from task manager its not getting terminated and i have to reboot .
I am having the same issue but only on a SATA device. When copying large files it dies and locks the entire PC up
@AmitRanaware47 I think I've found a temporary fix, disabling copy-on-write seems to have helped for me. I also found I could cause the issue to happen faster if I set the flush interval extremely low, like 1, and did a very long file transfer of some sort. Helped me in flipping all the reg values until something helped
eg NoDataCOW = 1
Edit: This seemed to fix it on my SSDs but not on my HDD. This is likely not a real fix
I've been unable to get it to properly output to a log file, I am probably setting the flag wrong in my registry. However I was able to use DebugView to capture the error messages that occured the exact instant it froze
At exactly 11:17:34 PM the issue occurs. The majority of the log messages are not unique to the failure, the error messages utf8, read_data and read_file ones are spread throughout the log even when running normally.
The only unique message to the failure is this exception right here:

@maharmstone I am absolutely down to do some more indepth debugging and log generation to help. I seem to be able to reliably trigger the issue albeit after different time periods. Although I must admit I've never done kernel debugging so I might need some guidance to give you the logs that'd be helpful
