Unexpected error upon installation

Open bwb43 opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Just attempted to install the integration. HA Docker. Home Assistant 2022.12.8 Frontend 20221213.1 - latest

Got the dialog prompting for email and password. Entered. Reply came back in a couple seconds indicating "Unexpected Error." Same on retry. No entries in the Logbook for the integration. And the Integration does not appear under Settings/Integrations.

One thing that may be possibly relevant is my account has two Vue devices (at distinct locations).

I'm getting the same error. I only have one location so I don't think that's it? Could it have anything to do with the actual password itself that we're using? Maybe with certain special characters it's getting sent incorrectly to Emporia Energy?

Usually this has been because of capitalization in the email address, it should be fully lowercase. I have a change in the pipeline that will enforce that. Other times this is just due to issues with their API and it could suddenly start working if you retry it later.

I don't think having two separate Vues should be an issue but it is possible. I have two but one is nested under the other so there's still one "root" device.

Ah, that did the trick @magico13! Thank you!

I'm having the same issue. I have made sure my email is all lowercase. I only have one Vue. I have tried it several times throughout the day, same error. Is there anything else I can try while waiting for it to magically start working?

I am pretty new to this...
